We are pleased to announce that Michigan
International Trade Association (MITA) is organizing a
trade mission to Futurallia 2003, a world forum for
small- and medium-sized businesses, which will be held
in Quebec City, Canada, May 21-23.
This tried and true format (this is the 8th
edition of this successful event) is a great value for
any small U.S. business looking to enter (or expand
in) international markets. At the forum, each
participant will have 12 one-on-one meetings scheduled
with interested customers/suppliers, matched by
Futurallia forum organizers. This is one of the most
successful (and economical) ways for your company to
meet potential customers, suppliers, and/or strategic
partners among the 800+ businesses attending from 30+
foreign countries. MITA, as the delegation leader for
Michigan companies, will also distribute your
company/product information to the 90 other delegation
leaders who represent businesses from their respective
economic regions, from all over the world.
In addition to two days of valuable interaction
with foreign companies, participants will have access
to international trade experts and attend networking
luncheons, evening receptions and business seminars.
The unique package also includes three nights
accommodation (single-occupancy) at a first-class
hotel, plus two breakfasts, two luncheons and two
evening events – all for 850 Canadian dollars (less
than US$600 at Feb. 2003 exchange rates). The only
major expense not covered is transportation to and
from Quebec City.
Quebec City is a lovely city that makes you feel as
if you are in Europe. Remember: May 26 is Memorial Day
(a US holiday, not a Canadian one), so you can take
advantage of the long weekend and enjoy this
"business" trip even more. Following
Futurallia, weekend tours have been organized
separately (at an additional fee; ask about
information/registration for the tours).
Also, if you have interest in meeting Quebec-based
companies, MITA and the Quebec Trade Commission will
arrange separate additional meetings for you before
the start of Futurallia; at no extra charge to you.
